Title: 1 1/8 quill stems with threaded forks
Post by: CustardLips on November 03, 2015, 10:25 AM
Did they make these ?

I only ask cos I've got a quill stem that doesn't fit in any of my forks.  ???

Pretty sure they came in three sizes all classed as 1" 21.1 / 22.2 and some strange road bike size

I have a set of 1 1/8 MTB forks in the garage, threaded with a quill.

no idea if they ever used this size on BMX though.

they are extremely rare. i don't know of any bmx manu that made a 1 1/8" threaded frame.
I have a 1 1/8" quill stem (Free Agent). Best I can figure is maybe they were useful for putting a BMX stem on a MTB of the time.

I have test fitted it on a 1 1/8" threaded Mountainbike. Fits perfect.
