Hello, here is one of my Kuwahara bikes...it's a KZ frameset that was built up with some incorrect parts in its past. I am still not finished with this bike, but it looks pretty good and I drive it a lot. I plan to restore the bike perfectly again, the paint is original, not sure about the decals.

The only exceptions being the lighting bolt seat (standard on the US version) and the Comp III tyres (which should be IRC MX80 Comp III copies).

I imported the frame from the States and built it up completely from nos parts.

It had never been ridden.

Finally finished my Kuwahara Exhibitonist 1984.

Bought this from a seller in the states back at the start of the year:

Sent it away to SBD for a new paint job.
Got some Kuwahara Exhibitionist decals done in Turquoise by Del  for the build.
Spent all year trying to source nice parts for it as i wanted to do it in a White and Turquoise theme, eventually tracked down  a set of Z-Rims in Turquoise and also scored a NOS set of Suzue Hubs in Turquoise too.
Found a old battered Kuwahara Freestyle Stem and Animal restored it back to its former glory for me.

Heres my 1982 Kuwahara KYZ in chrome survivor which is virtually all OG  8), just a bit dusty at the moment , as far as i can see its just the tyres and maybe seatpost which are not original to the bike, interestingly the KYZ was the first bike ever to be sold with ACS Z rims as stock on them

83 Laserlite built as Summer Rider, the Laserlite was always my grail bike from back in the day so dead chuffed to have finally got my mitts on one.  :smitten:

Originally got this off Stu27 (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,164979.msg1649299.html#msg1649299) last year. Made a few subtle changes and additions to get her 'just so' and a little bit different from all the black and chrome builds out there (no offence!)…

Frame/Forks: Tange made KZ-83 (Oval tubes without Kuwahara stamp on the rear dropouts, has one on the rear brake bridge though)
