I thought I would share a couple of pics of the 1985 Kellogs competition in Birmingham. I also started a thread on the old school freestyle forum.
I've got loads more if I can find them, I think I attended every day of the competition.

Excellent mate, at Sennelly's Park.

Superb pictures, thanks for sharing :daumenhoch:

Over Christmas I will try to find the rest. I probably shot off a film per day. I was there the day Geth Shooter beat all the American pro's. Magical race. I have an autograph book somewhere too.
Can anyone name the riders in these pics?

Tim March and our mate Andy Ruffell on the second pic.
There are clips of the whole series in YouTube, it will show you who the other riders are.

Thanks for all the replies.
I cajoled my dad into driving me from Herts to Brum every day that week, though he kind of enjoyed the racing too. We found that we could get very close to the action by standing up against the railings about 20 minutes before the action was due to start. I have seen myself in some of the Youtube footage out there.
I must have lots more photos. Dad and I took fairly decent cameras along with long zoom lenses. The pics will be in a box at my mum's house (dad passed away in 2008). I'm spending a few days there over Christmas and will dig out whatever I can.

These pictures are mega! Thanks for sharing dude! I hope some more turn up !

Brilliant pics, and am looking forward to seeing the rest as and when you dig them out. I saw all of the races on the box but would love to have been there in person!!
Am also hoping that this brings back some good memories of your dad, too.

I remember briefly chatting with Andy Ruffell who was kind of a hero at the time. Got to see Harry Learey but didn't chat with him. I remember Sarah Jayne Nichols being quite friendly with the fans, one of the riders who would mingle and chat. My dad was good enough to drive me there for five days which I think was the whole competition. My mum came along once.
