It has an air of home made to it, and I wouldn't fancy trying to run a chain on it. But it looks cool as
-
Akisu. :D
-
Like it - my kind of weirdliness.
-
No luck here either :teef:
-
You saw it then Nick? Does look a bit home made but if it is its well done. Couldn't resist :D
-
It serves no purpose as a bmx frame but if you throw a potato at it really hard, you will have wedges :daumenhoch:

A stab in the dark tbh Clint.... Akisu usually gets the blame for something pretending to be something it's not. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Nice towel rack our Clinton :daumenhoch:

:LolLolLolLol: Nice to see something different though! :daumenhoch:

You could dry a lot of socks on that bad boy!
I like it, it needs a Skyway platform on it to make it look more tubey :daumenhoch:
-
Where did ya find that? Was it an egay purchase? Built up do you think it'll ride ok?
-
You can list this in the freestyle section AND the race section :2funny:

Love it !! :LolLolLolLol:
Gots to be home made me thinks ? :chin:
-
My first thoughts were that it will never run regular gearing and chain without it catching somewhere but I think it will be doable :)
-
Looks very cool but a bit pointless. Apart from drying socks of course :)
-
It's like the lovechild of a mini Dp freestyler and a mk2 burner! is it heavy?? will be interesting!! :daumenhoch:

Got home to the frame tonight and it's in cracking nick.
The extra tubes are deffo factory, the middle right hand tube has a recess to aid chain clearance
(http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x455/oldschoolace/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_2197_zpsej9druus.jpg) (http://s1182.photobucket.com/user/oldschoolace/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_2197_zpsej9druus.jpg.html)
and the single top tube is schamfered underneath to accommodate the twin tubes
(http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x455/oldschoolace/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_2198_zps8mxfkaub.jpg) (http://s1182.photobucket.com/user/oldschoolace/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_2198_zps8mxfkaub.jpg.html)
Also found a serial on the bb :daumenhoch:
It's HD8704727
so assuming it's an 87? Does that serial jog anyone's memory as to who may have made it?

Aunt Bessies?

Could be 1927 Onslow special......
-
This will definitely be interesting, can't wait to see what happens with this! is it cromo Clint? :daumenhoch:
-
I've got no idea mate, someone must know what it is, it's obviously factory made. Apparently a chrome brother to this has been seen at some point but that's all I have at the mo :-\

the Schwinn type spinner pegs probably suggest it may be from 87 sort of era......something tells me Cyclepro...maybe the colour...where was the chrome one seen?
-
Chrome one was seen on German ebay. Rear drops look akisu but a search for akisu has turned up fook all :(

Akisu tended to stamp the rear drop out more than the bb shell and their serials tended not to have letters in.
I am on a mission to ID this now BTW
-
That was exactly my thoughts Jaymz but i wasnt sure. All the akisu stuff i could find was stamped on the drops. Although its faint, this is deffo stamped on the bb and no where else.
appreciate the help bud, Getting google image blindenss :D
-
just checked all my bmx plus mags from 87 and nothing in there.
-
:daumenhoch: cheers squire
-
Reet lads hoping to nail this down. Do the words space, wind or dancer jog any distant memories? ???
-
Drop outs look like MBK, could be a European frame? ???
-
Does it have a decal on it anywhere saying 'Made as a Bet' :D
I think you should build it up and see what she looks like :daumenhoch:
-
Deffo building it, be nice to get some decals made for it though ;)

if it needs a name the 'TripTop' gets my vote
-
Needs some sort of name until i can tie it down!
Can i amend Triptop to Tricktop :slayer:
-
Any other input before I cut some decals for it?

The Bastard.

The potato peeler.
-
The muggy c**t
-
Doesn't change to Siberian beaver pastry anymore :tickedoff:
-
Would be interesting to remove the paint and to see what it unveils underneath. Although probably not if its original paint. :-\ :daumenhoch:
