Title: angled framestand bending
Post by: haromaster87 on September 05, 2006, 12:56 AM
hey guys,

well a little while back i found some tioga angled framestands at the lbs and i used em on a gt performer for a little while and no problems. but when i got my fst i realized their was a problem, you know the part that rest on the cs, well their was a coaster bracket in the way. after a little bending i got em to fit but after ridin them a few times i realized that the one that i had to hook in the coaster bracket was startin to bend down. i bent it back and took em off. after tryin pegs i want my stands back but dont want to bend em again, is their anything i can do to prevent them from bending again.

thanks
tony,

are you riding a coaster brake? if not, how about cutting off the coaster bracket.  not the nicest thing to do, taking a saw to a frame, but could solve your problem.  :-\

LOL,

i thought about that, but i would probly break down cryin and have a nervous breakdown halfwa through cuttin it off. and i dont have the proper tools to do it anyway. thanks for tryin to help anyway.
