Title: Another Paypal Question, sure the answer is simple enough....
Post by: oldschoolace on December 09, 2015, 10:39 AM
.... just feeling particularly thick this morning. Trying to work out what i should send so the US lad recieves $225. With the exchange rates and variety of fees its a fookin minefield  ::)

Sure the lad is legit but just want to make sure so not going the gift route.

Is there some sort of up to date online calculator or does anyone know?

Cheers lads, Clint

I always use www.xe.com it's always accurate and will tell you exactly how much to send. You just key in the amount in one currency and then select the currency you want to convert to  :)

Im ok on the currency conversion front, its just trying to work out what to add for the various fees so i pay them that has me stumped.

I seem to make it £150.53.

Does that sound about right to anyone?

Clint, send the money in $$$$'s, not GBP's. Add 4% to the total, another $9, so he should get the $225. Also, check the box so you pay the conversion fees too, buddy  :daumenhoch:

Is that always 4% plus $9 to cover fees Terry or is the $9 dependent on cost of item  ?

I also tend to use this just so I know what the current Paypal conversion rate is  :daumenhoch:
