Do NOT buy anything of a.m. (French guy)
You will recieve damaged goods and then he will not refund you your money or even pay for the damage to be repaired.
It has happened to me today with a GT Pro a bought off him with a damaged headtube and chipped seat tube
Be aware guys

You certainly did Rob

Terrible attitude seen by him last night on FB Paul.....I tried encouraging him to give you a partial refund but he wouldn't listen.
As I said, same thing happened to me only I was the seller...I gave the buyer the option of a full refund or the cost to put things right. He opted for the latter and we agreed on £40.
Could have quite easily been resolved and his dignity left intact but he chose otherwise.
Hope you can get it fixed and move on. Good luck
Steve

Steve I've got someone who's gonna have a look at it on Wednesday and hopefully sort it.
His attitude last night was terrible and has done himself no favours cos I put a thread up on the French & Belgium Bmx sites with what's happened with pics and he is not a very popular guy anymore that's for sure

It's a real shame how this has all gone down.
-
If money has been refunded then the items should be returned at the sellers cost or made available for collection by a courier.
If it was me I'd also pack them up properly to ensure no further damage is done.
-

you're not wrong
initially I thought that maybe a lot of this could be put down to language barrier/crossed wires
then the accusations began and everything escalated before an amicable resolution could be reached
hoping that things can go back to some degree of normality soon
-

Exactly , it could have all been sorted on FB . For £50 . Which I thought was more than fair.
-
I hope Paul will make the right decision
friends say that he does not want to return my bike
-
He even accused me of doing the damage myself to get money from him WTF !!!!
I am afraid, this can be quite common from dodgy sellers.
I had a similar incident a few years back where the seller made multiple mistakes, resulting in damage etc. I too was met with a barrage of false accusations and abuse.
Eventually I simply called up my credit card company and sent them the information.
They refunded the money, and the seller came crawling back with a less venomous tongue.
But got into a hissy fit when he realised he would need to both pay and arrange the return shipping.
Since paypal appear to ruled in your favour for a refund against the seller (against the sellers wishes)
Its clear a judgment has been made.
As others have stated, don't under any circumstances arrange shipment of the frame back.
If you wish for the seller to have the frame returned, inform the seller they will need to arrange for its collection via courier or shippers account number. Nothing else.
The seller will have to arrange everything, and pay for everything direct.
As any payment made to the buyer to cover the shipment could cause future problems.

Manuel went crying to his friend today like a little French baby
So after a discussion with his friend I told him I would give him £200 or nothing simply becausè of his cheek and bad attitude on Saturday night.
Manuel morale of the story is if you play with fire you will get your fingers burnt

paypal does not give reason paul !!!!!!!!!
Paul made a false declartion to retrieve his money
he has declared paypal, someone had usurped his account
-
Ok this is really ugly. The history of me getting involved is as I bought a skyway TA from Manuel recently and had no problems whatsoever.... Manuel just called me via facebook as I speak French. So the situation is now as follows: Paul (Gish) has reported his card stolen to paypal (a false statement) so that paypal have now refunded him the £270 he paid for the frame. He then sent Manuel (a.m) £200. I think it is highly unfair that Manuel has been reported as a thief when Paul has used this underhand / retrospective tactic. In effect the deal is done, Paul has had his £70 refund, Manuel is blocked. You be the judge.
-
That's strange Matt cos I didn't even use a card to pay for bike in first place
-
I hope Paul will make the right decision
Funny how your tone has now changed since you don't have the upper hand.
If you'd done the right thing and paid for the repairs you wouldn't be in this predicament.
Glad you got your money Paul.
-
Cheers Steve if only he co-operated and agreed to the repair costs I originally asked for but No he thought he was clever with his bad attitude not just to me but a variety of other radsters who seen the thread on Saturday night.
I'm quite happy to screenshot the full conversation we had then you càn make up your own mind who the Cnut is

:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
also this as I lose £ 50 additional
-
i'm not on Facebook and this ain't making sense.
There's a lot of mud being thrown and some hefty accusations and it's just becoming a right mess
-
I had a complete bike from a.m.
He kept me informed as soon as the super goose was posted.
Sent me detail information on the tracking details and a pic of the postal info.
Bike arrived full size bike boxed ..
Each part packed in bubble wrap and to be honest very well to prevent damage.
He even sent me two gifts a sr stem and grips.
In his broken English he kept me up-to date all the way..
At this time of year the postal service are so busy due to the silly season I call it.
And the postal service will cut corners to keep up with demanding Christmas rush..
Things will get damaged and do get lost..
I too have a issue with a haro frame which was sent tracked and is now lost??
Bought from here and the seller and myself are both gutted and both out of pocket with no mud throwing..
Lets finish this now guys as its getting out of hand.. :daumenhoch:

I don't think Gish has acted underhand. So what if he told a porky to get a result. Every other avenue was exhausted prior to pulling the ace. Should have paid the £50 & non of this would have occurred.
