What's you bike building agenda for the new year?
I'm only planning to build one myself, which will either be a Torker, Ripper or Quad, it all depends which one becomes available first.
What about you lot?
-
Hoping to finish my 1st gen Reynolds Fresh 40, and then build a 1st gen Morales. :daumenhoch:
Only need a pad set to finish the Reynolds but need to track down loads to get the Morales done.
-
A Raleigh Extra Burner (got almost all the parts, just need to get them all restored), and the GJS (if I find one) :daumenhoch:
-
83 GT pro that's been going on forever and I'll be on the look out for Kuwahara KZ-1 f&f for a survivor build. :daumenhoch:

Aiming to get my WHEELS Cruiser finished for the summer - wifey is pushing me towards organising a charity (C.R.Y.) ride out in memory of her brother somewhere, so I'd like to have it ready for that and possibly MK16. I have some parts in the post for it already :daumenhoch:

Fook all. I'm priced out of the hobby. I will have to sell one of my 4 to build again and I'm very much attached to them all.

I haven't built an 80's bike for a long time, but just built one and god damn the parts are expensive. However with a bit of searching and lateral thinking it hasn't ended up costing too much. Yes NOS MX1000 calipers are way too expensive to buy, but one that needed a bit of cleaning and restoration cost me £35, Kashimax Aero seats are crazy prices, but there are other seats to use for a lot less money.

exactly a few ago I was building complete bikes for the cost of brakes and a saddle. I'm here for the free beer and pretzels now!!!!!!!!!

I have heard that one for the last 12 years, every year it is 'oldschool is dead', 'nobody builds anything any longer', 'there is nothing left to build, it has all been done', 'radbmx is dead', 'forums are dead, social media is the way forward'. But every year new people join the sport/hobby, more bikes and built and new previously unseen bikes are unearthed.
