Lol!! Yeah, in his fat, alcoholic period!
I really should have let my Dad set my bike up, like he did in the 80's. Check his face - well unimpressed.
Had a great day at Bournemouth, after 18 years away. Despite that rib breaking stack (still hurts now, despite the codeine) I'll lose the belly, get less sketchy and be back next year; that's if my wife lets me - check her expression - not too impressed either!
That particular crash happened in the third moto - having gained bottle jumping the first doubles each time, I had considered taking on the step-up in that race. Jesus - imagine the carnage if I had!! As it was, my tyre dis-engaged on the third straight and I slammed into the small table top, taking out Jamie V too.
Great pics chrisp. Hope to catch up with some of you again some time.

hey crispy,
very awesome pictures for sure . do soemthing with it!
Question, but NO PERSONAL OFFENCE AT ALL, is this BMX or is this too smooth racetrack?
Don't you find it that is not similar as bitd? Dirt allover and whatsoever?
What is your opinion?
Again, amazing pictures!

SND - having not visited Bournemouth for 18 years, the track certainly surprised me. The surface is super smooth and the jumps (which are far radder these days) were almost concrete-hard - a far cry from how it used to be. It was much, much harder technically and a whole lot faster.
In my humble opinion, although some of the MX may have gone from national tracks (particluarly in the smooth, sometimes tarmac'd berms) the increased speed, scarier jumps and long rhythm sections should encourage a better racing spectacle.
Having said that, looking at videos of the 05 nationals online, the racing itself does seem a little more processional these days, but more riders clipping in might have something to do with that.
However, I'll leave that debate for other forums - all I'll say is that Bournemouth is a top track and that big step-up is radical (if a bit too radical for me!)

Thanks for all the good feedback on the pics
I'm using a Nikon D100 with Nikon lenses, and no photoshop tricks :)
I would send them to Ride Mag if I thought they would print them... but they only give Gunner 1/3 of a page for BMX Racing stuff, so I'm not sure what to do with them.
