where comp ST tyres only available in 1.75 size in the 80s?

when did the 2.125 size come out ... I thought is want until the 90s

These buggers are still going for over a hundred? fooking ebay

i was watching them as well, didn't think they would have reached  that price.  ???

I'm sure they weren't out in the 80s but thats ebay for you :-)

I'm sure I had some of the fatter ones in the late 80's, but I may be getting muddled up with the bigger GT tyres. I can't remember what happened yesterday half the time, let alone 27 years ago  :LolLolLolLol:

Yeap, the 2.125 comp st's where around in the mid 80's, here's an advert from May 85 FREESTYLIN'

I don't ever remember them being around but I remember getting 1.75 front and rear...

with the front end tricks we were pulling back then, a fat tyre on the front would have just slowed you down, but made front hops easier on the wrists maybe!
