it's from 1986, the MBK "crazy bike" was officialy in the catalogue after the Bercy contest in Paris, Claude Vuillemot a french superclass and Andy Patterson made a show with them, i was there  :)

OH great info David !! can you tell  us how fast it was ? and did the guys give it one up on the track ?? I have been dojng some research , and the bike indeed is made by mobylette ! and a quick search on google sends you to a great site in the states where their are loads on bike come scooters on there. And indeed it seems thier where about 300 models made of this bike, but they made many moterised bikes in France in many styles . Thanks  for the post .

Hi from France !
First message there.
This bike was built by MBK (formerly known over decades as Motobécane).
They were about 280 built.
Peugeot also made a "motorized BMX" named "Country" which was not as close of a bmx than the MBK.

Here's a scan of the catalog :
Please note the Suntour XC-II pedals ! :D

That's mental.

Reminds me of Hoffman when he mounted an engine to a Condor to try and get bigger airs - rad as fook!
