No, big discussion on fbook about it though. Apparently it's a DCT racing freestyler that's had the rear loop chopped off ???

oops...that doesn't sound good! What rear loop? It had some nice parts on it....I was close to bidding!

It was a little steep if you ask me. Those frame were hi ten steel.
Not sure how much the possible link to melanie vauvelle adds to it.
certainly interesting!

Ah, I did wonder if it was Hi-ten....glad I didn't bother now. I liked the Melanie Vauvelle ultra bmx stickers, but they were just the shop stickers..i don't think they have any connection to the bike as such.
-
I did wonder as any references i could find to her were all race orientated ???

Same forks as acorn freestyler probably same factory welds were shocking I'd have taken the 4 dp stunt pegs off n delisted it someone would have bid on it again but if some poor bigger thinks they've got a trm they gunna be gutted

Enough people thought it was, despite your best efforts Ali

Not bad parts on it, Tioga Task force crank, scarce pink GT shinko tyres, uber rare GT seat in any condition, dp pegs, GT mallet stem, CW bars. Price wise whoever got it didn't do too badly

Someone did nail some decent parts on it Steven, that's what made me wonder if it is a DCT

If your a completist for UK bikes then I'm sure someone will be well happy with the frame and forks. Just spotted the GT Epoch headset also, someone really did had a GT obsession. It's not Costas first bike is it?
Sell the parts and you've got a F+F for £100

I see what you mean about the hoop cut off now....would explain those weird bits of tape, probably to cover it up. What a POS, I knew it wasn't a TRM but thought by the quality of the parts it might have been ok i.e made of cromoly which would have made it interesting. It doesn't surprise me that someone bought it for the pegs!
I thought the seat was a shotgun II.....Not surprised Melanie V wanted to disassociate herself from it!!
-
here is some examples of a POS

It is a shot gun II seat, early GT issue with GT BMX stamped on it. On many a wants list.

Never seen one of those seats before...worth knowing. It didn't work out too bad for whoever got it then really

Think it wasn't a bad buy really. That French dp frame n forks went for more dosh the other month

Agreed, i think considering the parts on there that the buyer did ok . A rare frame set & a bit of British bmx history regardless of its lack of popularity.
Good luck who ever won it :daumenhoch:

It was already at 520 before I even commented it was all its money imo probably not a loss though

I have one DP peg like that. Do you mind telling me it's worth? It was originally on my GT PRO performer 84 but I dunno to keep n restore it?
You can just see it poking out the left of tuff II also not sure if I'm keeping or restoring yetti.
