				Hi there,

I'm new to building bikes though I had a Super Burner back in the 80s. Anyway, I've just bought a Super Burner frame MkI for a little project I'm doing for myself. I'm building the bike for me so it doesn't need to be totally authentic.

My first question is, can I buy any forks for the Burner or do they have to be Burner forks?

 Thanks in advance,

 Andy

And 1" bmx forks will fit but old burner forks should be nice and cheap and pretty easy to find  :daumenhoch:

I'm already in a quandry about my forks. The gold super burner forks are going to be hard to get hold of and I think black look a bit naff. I wonder whether chrome forks will suit a bike with a gold frame? Anybody seen this combo?

 Cheers,

 Andy

I'm guessing you're using chrome bars so why not.

-
Should look o.k...New Landing Gears would be nice and fairly priced  :daumenhoch:

The original MKI Super Burner came with black forks  :daumenhoch:

Quite right Rob, and black bars, the Super Tuff Burner was gold frame, forks and bars.

You're right about the black forks, my original MKI had gold bars though....Here's me in the early 80s on my first BMX:

 Happy days...

I'm currently thinking about gold frame, chrome forks and bars, white skyways, seat, grips and brakes. If only there was a bike colour scheme designing app...

 Cheers,
 Andy

Cool pic, I wish I had some of my bike from the 80's!
There are a few sites where you can virtually build a bike, they are not that much cop though. ~Personally, I don't think gold/white would work particularly well....Better off with black like the Super tuff burner  :daumenhoch:

				Absolutely love that pic 😉

Blimey, a Burner with the bars not too far forward!!!

 There's a 1st!!

Don't worry I soon put them forward by 45 degrees once I realised I needed to look 'cooler'... ;D

				Hi chaps,

Do you think these forks will fit my Burner:

Does anyone on here have any black burner forks they want to move on?

 Thanks in advance,

 Andy

Yes they will but there not original burner forks you can tell as they have a little loop welded to one fork leg where you would run the brake cable thru it which suggest a later freestyle type fork? but for that price they;d be ok for now  ;)

Andy, there are so many Mk1 Burner frame and fork sets knocking about on the Burner pages on FB, usually around the £50-£60 mark.

 Love the old pic.  :coolsmiley:

Why not replicate your old bike from back then?  :-\ Just an idea!  :)
