Top bloke, frame as described, held with deposit, sent fast, all good and swerved heavy customs build!

totally good guy.. bought a Race inc from him many, many years ago with complications (on my part) but very patient with me an saw the sale through to the end. :4_17_5:
-
Yep
Frame turned up quick with no customs and as described
-
yes very good to deal with a1

Been around longer than most on here, has had some amazing bikes over the years.
-
He's also the Boss when it comes to Boss, meaning Boss Bicycles or any other Carlo Lucia-built frames!
-
From the comments in this thread im guessing this member marks his items down to avoid customs duty... is this correct ?

Are you the police :daumenhoch:

Are you the police :daumenhoch:
:LolLolLolLol: No I'm not.
I only ask as I've just had my first and what will be my last dealings with him. I've found him to be a bit of an ignorant cnut. I made an offer on one of his for sale items and whilst pm'ing him i got no hi/hello no thanks/regards no signing off with his name. He sent me a tracking number but failed to mention with which carrier the item was with. He's been pretty abrupt with his replies from the word go. "nono"
So although ive saved 20 quid on the item I've now copped for a 26 quid customs charge which i think he's done on purpose because i had the audacity to make an offer on a part which was overpriced in the first place imo. ???

I had a very similar experience.
We made a deal although I have to agree communication was brief and somewhat abrupt definitely a different style to what I've been used to over the years in the UK.
I advised him exactly what to put on the customs form so I wouldn't cop for the charges and he didn't bother so I got hit for the charges too.
-
He's a fookin :bellend: ... never again. "nono"
-
I find him ok,bought some Motomags and a set of tuff ones, all came quickly and no customs charges.
You just have to realise the Yanks are totally different to us in the way they go about things,it's huts the way they are,....
-
Yeh fair enough but manners cost fook all. ???
-
I've had a few things off him now, always found him good :daumenhoch:
Yeah communication is short and sweet, think that's just the way yanks are in general.
Never had customs charges.

I've spoken to him and the guy off the museum I bought my GT off and both were very to the point, very different from the guys I've dealt with over here. And after getting stung by customs as the seller marked it as $200 value insurance I think I'll stick to buying over here.

Me too Chris, I've only ever bought one frame set from over the pond, never again.
