Title: SR Stems
Post by: Mikku on February 25, 2016, 03:27 AM
Having never owned one, could anybody tell me what the different codes signify? For example, what's the difference between an MS-420, MS-422 and MS-424? Does the number just mean a different model/design (which I'm assuming) or a different measurement, in which case are they all a standard fit? Thanks in advance for any info. :daumenhoch:

Just model number as above dude.

The 420 was used on the mkl burner and the 422 was on the mkll burner, the 424 was a aftermarket option, I could be wrong but don't think it came on any complete bikes bitd

There's a change in design to the base on the 420 and 422, around the stem bolt, not much though, tops are identical though.

I can't picture the 424.

Mick, these are some pics of the 420 and 422, I've just taken them off eBay. The stem top on the 420 looks like the sides are more curved than the 422, may be the pic angle.
