Title: Charity fund raiser
Post by: Bigbadsam on April 02, 2016, 05:56 PM
Hi chaps, just an idea but after the success of Lennys Wigan Christmas  Toy ride the other year me and a group  of other Northern members have been talking and thought it would be good to have a regular small fund raiser for which ever town were riding in.

Weather its 30 or 100 riders turning up it seems a waste if we cant all chip in a couple of quid With the choice of charity picked by the organiser .

Whether it's a School, Hospital, Old Soldiers home , Lifeboat station or whatever we reckon it's just a nice thing to do.

I't doesn't need to be a big deal, no names in papers or brass plaques just a couple of pounds (a pint) donation to a worthy cause.

What do you think ?

Great idea, we did it on the Cleethorpes ride a couple of years ago, stopped at the lifeboat station for a pic and dropped few quid in for them

Jono are you going to kick this off at Radbury mate ?
Like a said to Ant at Chester, maybe have a money bag with what ever charity were giving to printed on it.
The ones at Southport might be open so we can pop round with the donation on the ride.

Not that I am bothered about giving money to charity and do on a regular basis. I think this might stop people coming to the rides. Just a thought.

I hear you Brett, but it's purely on a  voluntary basis.

We thought mainly for the hard core of boys n girls who regularly cause drunken mayhem and madness in our local towns and cities  :LolLolLolLol:
