Rich, can you try and explain what your up to.....
-
i reckon get some bar the same od and get it welded back on the ends ittl be well strong enough (as long as its jus an inch or so )
-
rich speak to fuzzynod he should be able to help
-
me. i did it with mi kneesavers.
-
shouldn't be difficult, just need a welder rich. and some 22-22.2mm bar, got some shitty bars to chop up? or a seat post?
-
the best way would be make up an internal shim about 2" slide 1" in to bar leaving an inch exposed then slide extension on to this, when the two pieces meet leave a gap about the thickness of bars to allow weld to penetrate this would be a really strong repair with either mig or tig,i can do them for you with mig if you cant find anyone to do them :daumenhoch:
-
if the bars are cro mo yer realy need to use tig , it wont b a problem to get done any engeneering place should do it for yer cheep
-
Just stick a bit of broom stick in each end, sorted :daumenhoch:
