Title: I feel like I'm missing a part here............

I took this S&M apart ages ago to clean it up and now I think I've lost a part from the head set.  Should there be a compression ring between the cup and this silver piece coz it seems to sit too high with that gap???

Looks like that top race is for loose bearing but you have sealed bearings in the top cup
