Title: Oakley B-1B - original or repro - is there a difference?
Post by: downlowmatt on June 14, 2016, 08:40 AM
Hello... so I'm building a skyway t/a and am looking to get a set of b-1b's.

The 2010 repro's go for $150-$200 and the originals about double that.

Is there a difference?!

Cheers

Matt

The re issues have a small date stamp on the end , easily removed by all accounts  ::)

You could hide the date with an Oakley crud plug .. Easily done  :daumenhoch:
I've owned both .. The repops are very good to be fair  :daumenhoch:

I see... thank you chaps!

On closer investigation I can see a little "2010" here... (http://bmxmuseum.com/forsale/img_9828573894ab40_blowup.jpg)

I'm sure a careful dremel or something could smooth that out!

The originals do not have the hole in the end hence why people use the crud plugs to hide it!  :daumenhoch:
