What grips did you use in the day and have you changed your flavour now?
I used A'me MTB grips bitd.
Mushrooms gave me awful blisters.
These days I still use A'me MTBs however I have found the love for A'me Cams. Very comfortable.

SM Mushrooms and Sharp.
-
I used Sharp, I think because they were cheap
-
I only had Landar F1s BITD sadly but I'm a big fan now of Tange Grips bizarrely .. I think they're super soft and very underrated ..? I really didn't see the appeal until I got a pair ..
... I love my Oakleys but most of those I have now were originally NOS and are on my show ponies so I've never really put them to the test :-\

I'm really looking forward to putting some Sharps I picked up on my next project which I'm definitely gonna ride .. Again they do seem super soft :chin: :D
-
Mushrooms for me as a kid , big fan of Oakley B1b's now though :smitten:
-
AME rounds but now I use WTP all day grips, superb grip but wear down quickly
-
Only ever used the stock grips that came on my Falcon Pro. They were those winners circle type. Really hard plastic type material with an interlocking circle grip pattern. As for grips that i now have, the oakley b2's are my favourites
-
Mushrooms and then A'ME bubble font. Now I use A'ME tri. I liked the bubble fonts the best. But to be fair, I've never tried some others than those I've mentioned.
-
Always had mushies, loved all the black bits on the hands :teef:
-
mushies for me bitd, then moved on to jive handles when they came out, best grips ever. currently using united u jive grips but when they wear out i will be back to the jive's again.
-
Have Uni Hand Grenades on my bmx's now. Love them and don't see that many around.
BITD had some of the Oakley grips that looked like ski pole grips. Oakley 3's ?
-
Had Tange grips on my Kuwahara but found them a bit big.
Didn't like mushroom and Sharp as they were too spongey.
Tried A'me Duals and Unitrons but they were uncomfortable.
Jive Handles were good but they wore out really quickly.
Always ended up going back to A'me Tri and Round. Still use them today.

Anything really that was already fitted to bike to be honest.
Now its AME cams hands down , they dont ache my hands & feel like a natural way to grip.
-
ODI Mushrooms for me. If you wore gloves, they were superb grips. If you didn't, when your hands got sweaty, the grips would get all mushy and come away in your palms :crazy2:
I use A'me round on my TA, the old bubble font ones, and now am using Subrosa Villicus V2 Grips on my 'new' TA :daumenhoch:
-
BITD? Sharp
Now? Sharp
Pretty safe to assume what my favourite grips are :teef:
-
Ame rounds bitd
now odi longnecks (best grip ever)
-
Looking at old photos tell me I had loads of different grips but I seem to have the most memorys of ODI Mushroom's
-
Oakley B1B's , Until they got wet - then they came apart... :(
Then the Grip of all Grips...The B2... :smitten:
Ame Rounds would be my next favourite , as they are pretty similar to the B2...
I have Ame Unitrons on both my Riders...Very nice Grips... :daumenhoch:
Ps: If anyone has Green or Purple B2's , please pm me...
-
I liked comfy grips BITD so I had SM mushrooms,ODI mushrooms and sharps.
These days on builds I generally use Ame round or Tri repops as they are cheap and readily available.
I have not owned Sharps since BITD as you can never find them but on my riders I use the repop Mushrooms, they are just as comfy as I remember them.....
-
Favs were AME Duals, I also liked Oakley 0.5s and AME's rounds, I had a thing for the AME's that you fixed using plastic clamps on the grip flange and bar end but can't remember what they are called :uglystupid2:
-
Another one for mushrooms then and now so soft
