Title: owned 6 years finally done / 1984 PK Ripper
Post by: moza on July 06, 2016, 07:35 PM: Ive owned this 6 years and ive finally done it, ive put it off for years as the frame needed sanding to remove scratches and then polishing up. Ive left some of the deep marks as I didn't want to fill them with weld, it gives the frame character and its the bikes history. I used 3 tubes of Autosol and one peek to bring it back up.

I actually masked them with duct tape to save them ;-)

I've seen some that try their hardest to remove any sign of a welded joint

Thanks I masked them to save them when I was sanding, when I buffed the frame I did the welds lightly then did them by hand
