Ive owned this 6 years and ive finally done it, ive put it off for years as the frame needed sanding to remove scratches and then polishing up. Ive left some of the deep marks as I didn't want to fill them with weld, it gives the frame character and its the bikes history. I used 3 tubes of Autosol and one peek to bring it back up.

Thanks all my others have been chrome or paint so its been easy. I knew this would be a pain so it was left for years !!

I actually masked them with duct tape to save them ;-)

I've seen some that try their hardest to remove any sign of a welded joint

How did you polish the welds, toothbrush?
Thanks I masked them to save them when I was sanding, when I buffed the frame I did the welds lightly then did them by hand

Thanks for all the comments guys I'm very pleased with the bike and the positive feedback is awesome. I still have the original dx's to go one once ive resotred them
