I'm looking for a comfy seat for a old school 26" cruiser
I want to keep it looking era correct if I can.
Selle italia turbo's from the advert were about in the very early 80's but I haven't come across any photos of bmx cruiser's fitted with them.
I'm not an old school roadie bike person so not sure what market these were aimed at.
Any thoughts

A padded Kashimax? :-\
-
whatever you do please don't put a big fat padded fooker on there - you always see these on US builds and it ruins the look of a bike IMO
padded kashi not a bad shout - got a suede super pro on my ripper and although it's only very lightly padded it's a bit kinder than pure plastic :surprise:

I picked up one of these recently for a future build. Totally old school bmx and supposed to be very comfy once you bed them in :daumenhoch:

Thought about a padded kashi but wanted something different.
So your saying no to a brooks double spring saddle then ;)

I can only see the nose part.
I cant really describe what i want but hopefully when i see it ill know.
With it being a cruiser i didnt want a thin bmx seat but i dont want a wide brooks seat either. So something in between

Not to bad looking but they remind me of road saddles

Elina lightning bolts are the comfiest seats IMO
-
Anything in a 'MX' style should be good or even a Kashimax Super MX if you want a bit more comfort.
Just keep away from them shit Aero designs
-
at the moment i'm open to anything and i just keep my eye out as hopefully when the right one pops up i'll know.

How about getting a seat you like , then trimming it in leather or vinyl with about 10 to 20 mm foam between the seat
and leather / vinyl . Done this with a shotgun 2 , very comfy :daumenhoch:

Haven't already given this some thought but I came to the conclusion that the edges would lift from under the seat edge even after glueing

Covered a shotgun last year for a rider , no sign what so ever of any movement or lifting and very comfortable

What adhesive did you use to stick under the seat. I would have tried a glue gun if I had of tried

Thats the thing , i got some glue from a auto trimmer . Unfortunately have not got a clue what it's called but definitely not a glue gun . Whatever it was , its not moving . Would be worth talking to an auto trimming company .

There is a picture of said seat in the old school freestyle section in 86 Hutch trickstar. White seat ...
