Well I'm in the grumps and I don't read any mk 2016 threads as yet again since I joined this site my wife books our holiday when mk is on.
I've stopped reading them as I'd prefer not to know what's planned or happening.
I know that may sound harsh but I'm the type that would rather not know.
I know I'll be in the sun but there's parts I could do with for my last build that I want to keep and ride
-
I know this sounds really stupid, and a drastic approach, but have you ever though about communicating with your Wife? Even if you only do it once to say 'Don't book the family holiday in August this year'.
You know what they say - "it's not what you say in a relationship that effects it, it's what you don't say".
-
Plenty more fish in the sea ;D
-
Don't disappoint the wife mate if she wants to go on holidays in August let her :daumenhoch:
but let her go on her own! ;)
leaving you free to go to MK :D :daumenhoch:

Yeah already told the wife and it took her all of half a second to think about it.
In fairness we've always had roughly the same time off since we've had kids plus it's hard for us both to get time off work at the same time.
She's the one with the good job and I work p/t and look after the kids, so she pays for it all so the buck stops with her.
She has to work around other managers as to when she can book her holidays so it's not that easy.
I would like to go just one year though
Also we book at the travel agents around October for the following year as I have to book any school holiday time off then as it gets booked up at work else. This is way before mk dates come out
-
Ah well, you had your chance and you blew it
No more MKs after this one, so you'll never know what it's like
We'll take plenty of photos though and be thinking of you when we're in the Dog & Duck*
*unlikely really tbh :teef:

What about a camping holiday? near a lake ... local shops ... river to play in ... lots to do in and around ..... MILTON KEYNES :slayer:
-
I'm done with camping, I use to love it but the weather is that unpredictable in the supposedly summer months that I got rid of all our gear.
Shame it's the last one
-
Its the fukkin last one every year LOL
-
Shame it's the last one
As Ed says, they say this every year, however, with the event getting so big, can Nick and Team really do with having all the mither that goes with setting it up? Who knows, only time will tell.
One things for sure, IF :radbmxsmilie: decide not to host this event again, somebody will. It may not be at MK, and may not have all the trimmings that have garnished it over the last few years, but there will be an event of some description.

We would always look to do MK, Unfortunately the decision could well be out of our hands.
By all accounts there's a housing estate within about 200 yards of the track and they got quite a few complaints last year about noise, that's why we have to stop the music by midnight.
We also got in a lot of trouble about the fires, which is why this year we can't have any fires about the site. We have one wood burner I believe but any fires will be put out i'm afraid.
It sounds really shitty to have to do it but all these little things add up for the parks people to stop us doing it again next year.

Rob what's the score regarding throw away BBQ's for those who bring them ?
I think it's ok to bring them, as long as you don't light them

Classic :D

BBQs are okay but make sure they're on something and not on the grass, we can't have burn marks everywhere :daumenhoch:
-
Bring a couple of bricks or even better a burner ;)

I expect that rule will be widely followed ::)
Seriously though, we can't have burn marks ANYWHERE - we nearly weren't allowed to have MK after the ground got marked before
-
Marshalls :daumenhoch:

Divorce the Mrs, come MK & bring a flamethrower with ya :teef:
