Got this off of Ebay last week. Took a chance on it, really thick coat of Hammerite and shitty crank.
How it arrived...

Went to B&Q and got some paint stripper, and made a start on getting the gloop off today.
A few beers in the garden and an old bank card for scraping and cracked on with it......
This frame and forks has gotta be the worst condition Curtis out there, finish wise the chrome is proper fooked ::)
How it's looking so far with some of the paint stripped off.....

Defo a candidate for new paint, which is a bit of a pisser, but this is too far gone for a bath and polish :crybaby:

A bit of the remaining original decal :(

Great start Lee.
May I suggest you sending it to a chromers and getting it stripped, then sending it to SBD to polish and add a clear coat? Knowing that Brian will have done some superb brazing here, it would be a shame to hide with paint or powder.
Just a suggestion. :daumenhoch:

It's defo getting de-chromed Dan :daumenhoch:
I don't want to powder it as I think powder will hide those lovely brazed joints.
I'm not sure about raw either, although Griffs cruiser looks gorgeous raw :-\
