Title: Type 2 Number Plates, The Padded Type.

Did anyone have one of these BITD?

My mate had one, claims he still has it somewhere. At the time '83/4, we thought it was cool, probably because it was different to the placcy ones, but thinking about it, what was the actual point of them? Ok, so they may have been lighter when new, but surely even with the nylon cover, the foam will have got wet and heavy if the bike was ridden in the rain.

Has anyone got one now?
