...30 odd years but it's pulled me back in.
my name is dan, i'm 46 and carrying a few extra pounds, i'm on a few fb pages already.
basically, i was at a car show in milton keynes a few weeks back. a pal saw me on fb and said, "do you want to see bob haro and Mat Hoffman?" and that was it. i was hooked again.
in the last week i've acquired a whole bike (old), frame/fork/bars (old) and another whole bike (mid) as a donor for the f&f to get it up and running, but i might leave it as it is. it'd be good to have a bike i don't give a £$% about and leave it outside or chuck it in the van if i go somewhere.
it certainly is addictive. one guy i bought some parts off said, "welcome to the world of skint 40-somethings" (cheers martin). ;D
anyway, in for a penny in for a pound. looking forward to rides and meets in the south/south east and building that f&f in to something i can be proud of.

Think on the bright side, if we were 40 something in the '80s we would be broke buying whale-tail Porches instead of kids bikes............opps what did I just say.....buying 80's icon BMX bikes. The bikes rule, the parts are far nicer when they plop on the door mat and easier on the eye. I have found that BMX is relaxed as long as you take your time where parts are comcerned. The community is soooooo good and I have been part of some pretty toxic scenes, some how this one remains cool on the whole so :welcome
