I just spotted this with a T3 x5 Number Serial stamp. The only OG evidence I've seen on this type of serial has been on those well known batch of painted Hot Hearts (see database link).

So it's a fake then? Its been drilled out And the guys telling porkies? Nice spec tho but would be worth good money left as a hot heart?
-
They definitely made some T3's but not sure on other numbers to verify tnh

Is it just me or could those little indents above the number be from the last N on a 'TANGE JAPAN' stamp?

They did make the same frame T3 serial without any other markings like Tange in the same colour as the ET. I used to own one the only difference was it had a cable hole in one gusset and obviously no white paint on it.

Looks like an N to me
-
So did non of the ET's have tange Japan?
-
I've never seen one.
-
From memory I think all the Raleigh and Hot Heart Frames that were made by Tange had Tange Japan on them. I don't think any Kuwahara's had Tange Japan on them :-\

Well that makes it easy to tell I assumed other that the drilled gusset you couldn't tell , nice to know
-
Only the Hot Heart frames from 83 seem to be stamped 'Tange Japan'. The HH frames from 82 in the database don't have it.
-
Some Kuwahara's had "Product Of Japan" stamped then serial number.
-
Some of the et bikes did spill into early 1983
They have they don't say tange Japan the hot harts do
Mine are t2,serial numbers on the et frames ,and they where all steel frames with tange chromoly forks :daumenhoch:
-
Just to add to the drama there's something about his other listing that doesn't add up to me.
-
I haven't looked at it. What have you found mate?
-
So was the ET an inferior quality frame to the KZ 2.5 ? which I presume is full chromoly.
-
ET frames were Hi-Ten (Tig & Mig welded)...

;D I'd forgotten I posted that as I did it when i just got in from the pub.
His other item looks OK now I'm sober, just got a few parts that I wouldn't put on it but nothing out of the ordinary.
-
So people get a full chromo frame and disguise it as steel and its worth more money. :crazy2:

Has anyone got or know some selling a frame and forks for and et build i'v got most of the parts just need at t2 frame and forks set at a reasonable price and condition chrome or painted There are a few pictured on here
