Okay so Rad's a little quiet because it's post MK and to quote Game of Thrones "Winter is coming" but what you got cookin' lads?
Carl's just finished his beauty, Christophe's JMC was lush and Glynn's TA XL will be one sweet ride but what have you got in the pipeline ?

Just put a wanted ad up for a Burner!!
Really fancy doing an extra burner. Again, it's one of those bikes I quite liked BITD.
Would be nice to have one join the collection.
I know it's not a high end build but it's about the nostalgia. 😏

Steve
I loved these BITD, gazed at my mate Mike's for hours.
-
It's either this or a Falcon Pro Theta.
My best mate had one and I envied it immensely.
Again would like to get it for sentimental and nostalgic reasons.
-
Part of me is thinking that I should do a TAP Burner, but I just can't get any enthusiasm for buying bike parts.
-
Would be nice that Dan....To do it justice it would cost a fair price though I imagine?
-
New paint job and a few parts to change on my Freeagent then I'll be tackling a Robinson Amtrac. :daumenhoch:
-
Looking good lads ... Love the Extra Burner after the Tuff Burner definitely the most iconic .., love them :smitten:
C'mon Dan get on it mate ... There are parts aplenty around at the moment and many are going for resonable prices ... Once you start the love comes straight back ... Believe me fistblump
-

I'd defo avoid the factory spec route, I'd probably aim for a race look, spokes, single brake etc.
-
Did u ever sell you Chrome Aero Pro Dan?

Got a few in the pipeline:-
Cook Bros Pro 82
Cyclecraft 1990ish
Torker 280x 83
Falcon Pro Theta
Plus a few more bits to find for the Viper, the crank and wheels.
Tweaks for the National Pro, Ripper and JMC
Silver Streak is done, just needs photos.
-
That's what I like to here Andy! Top building mate fistblump
The devil makes work for idol hands Radsters
-
Still got my extra burner on the go. It'll be done by early next year. I will get my arse into gear and remove it from your house soon Joff!
-
Building a 84 Ammaco freestyler at the moment but needs a decent paint job , one of the bikes i had bitd . Then late december / January start on a 84 Curtis Pro , looking forward to that one .
-
Might have a go at the freeagent limo again.its been light blue dark blue and futuristic black aka hammerite.thinking of yellow for it next.
-
Might actually finish my Procraft at some point in the coming months and my 82 Jag Team Pro, still not found anyone in Western Australia that I would trust to tidy up a previous repair on my Patterson Pro Long frame :-[ Might give it to my mum to take back to the UK when she comes over at Xmas and get an old friend to do it and then have him post it back to me but I can't help thinking that is a bit excessive :-\.

Do it!! They're such great-looking frames, and definitely worth the effort in my books. I just missed out on one for sale on the Museum the other month - gutted! One day! In the meantime, I've got 3 framesets I'm slowly gathering parts for, the first of which is a Redline 500a. :daumenhoch:
-
Mocking this up. Really enjoying it.
-
Lovin' the crazy colours mate fistblump
-
Thanks. Brightens up a dull winters day. ;)

Well after finishing my FBM Angel of Death(98) and Night Train(2001) for MK. In the last couple of months I've managed to get hold of Re-issue frames of both models, So the next 2 slow projects are on-going.
Also still to finish my No-Ped which I've had for nearly 9 years :-[

84 Master that needs tweaking/redoing and an RL20 that I have all the bits for apart from wheels and not sure what to put on it. Whatever it has needs to be white (and preferably coaster) as I just think they suit them better. It's gonna be a rider so don't mind plastic hub Skyways as Peregrines/OGKs seem to be like rocking horse crap in the rarity dept :crazy2:

Having got to double figures in VDC's for my MK16 display, I've decided to call it a day.
Certain situations and bad deals have ground me down to an all time low.
So in a last ditch effort to relight the flame of interest i'm building my first BMX. It seemed only right I should go full circle and finish with what I started with.
I'm a few items away and still not feeling it :-\
-
With 3 kids and that pesky Christmas thing looming got nothing at the moment but have told the wife not to get me anything for Christmas as I'd rather have the money to start a new build. Fancying a DB or Mongoose.

Not building is fine, always nice to go for a pedal with mates though ;)
Look forward to seeing the 'final' one done

The love and the passion always ebbs and flows throughout the year for me .. It seems just when you are loosing the love it always seems to come back bigger and stronger...
The new year brings in the rad rides and these always get me excited about building again ...
I'm sure the new year will bring you some more energy and BMX love Steve :daumenhoch:
You do have one hell of a collection already though Steve ... :4_17_5:

OGK's come up bro...An RL 20 needs OGK/Peregrine Masters imo to look right....The Masters are usually more expensive but they are the same wheel. Neither are REALLY rare, more Peregrines come up on bmxmuseum.com than here although I did score a pair of white OGK's on here a few yrs back
here's a pic of my old RL for inspiration.... :daumenhoch:

In answer to the thread I have about 10 builds planned in my head but none of them likely to see fruition..... :-\

None for me, in order to build within a reasonable budget one has to leave my possession and that's a tough choice right now

That's a lovely looking bike mate and I agree they look better on OGK/Peregrines. They come up for sale on the museum but the guys never want to ship to the UK for some reason. I was gonna do it like the first advert for it when it had skyways and MX 1000s on but I think I'm gonna do it how I would have built one back then. I remember seeing a complete in Super Cycle Discount in Nottingham when I went to fetch my Firebird Freestyler frame and I loved it then but I think it was over £200 and we couldn't afford it unfortunately

I was telling the story of the RL20 back then but at least now I've got one (I think I bought it not long after this post but have never built it)
