Title: 1980s Raleigh Burner
Post by: PeteTestimony on December 08, 2016, 03:53 PM
Hello, I hope you don't mind me getting in touch.

I work for a documentary company called Testimony Films. We are currently making a new documentary for BBC4 about the Raleigh Bicycle Company.

As part of their story we look at Raleigh's role in the amazing BMX scene which took 1980s Britain by storm. BMX star Andy Ruffell has agreed to be interviewed for the programme in London, and in addition to this we would love to film him with a Raleigh Burner bike similar to those he used to ride for Team Raleigh.

I was wondering if anyone might have such a bike and be willing to let us feature it in our film. Any help you might be able to offer would be massively appreciated! I can be contacted on 0117 925 8589 or pete.vance@testimonyfilms.com.

I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have about the company I work for and the programme we are making.

Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you.

Best Wishes,
Pete Vance

Welcome to  :radbmxsmilie: Pete

There have been a few Ruffell replicas made by RAD members over the years, I'm sure someone will be able to help

I can't help but someone must have a replica on here.
The documentary sounds brilliant I'm a big Raleigh fan.
I interviewed Andy in the Summer for our own RadMag.
Good luck finding what you need :daumenhoch:

Have you talked to Paul Adams at the Cycle Museum in Warrington ?
He's got a lot of cool stuff and some rare Raleigh bits?
He's a brilliant character. I was lucky enough to buy this from him and a few other Raleigh shop trim items.

Does Glynn have an Andy Ruffell replica? This will be fantastic - can't wait to see the documentary!
