Title: Back after 4 years, its lonely out there!
Post by: mivvi on January 13, 2017, 12:22 AM: Hi all, it's been a while and I have missed this site. Was a member on here for many years then met a woman 5 years ago. Now, married, 2 kids and a little dog later and I'm back. Wife doesn't understand my addiction with kids bikes but has just accepted it now ^"^ So just wanted to say a big hello to everyone and now I'm looking out for my next build in such a long time. Really excited to getting a new F&F and the relentless search for the right bits. Hope to make some new friends and be part of this great obsession once again :D

Post by: mivvi on January 13, 2017, 08:10 AM: Thanks both, yep been looking about and the prices are crazy on some stuff. Like a fool I sold quite a bit 6 years ago and now things have tripled in price. There seems to be very little for sale either, everyone holding to what they got I think.

Still, I'm going to take my time, spend my pennies wisely and enjoy it. :D

Be prepared for crazy prices. Sad to say but FB has become the place for buying and selling parts these days.
The golden times of 5 years maybe behind us but :radbmxsmilie: is still No.1 for OSBMX !

I actually posted on a few of the old school Facebook pages regarding looking for items and asking advice, was totally ignored! I'm guessing but I think unless you're in with the 'in crowd' most don't want to bother with you. It is quite sad though, we ain't kids and I'm not going to get upset if I get blanked by people I don't know. I don't live and breath BMX as my life is full of other things (sadly not as interesting as BMX) but just don't have that much time on my hands. Building bikes, searching for the right parts and building a bike up how I want it is what I love, there ain't no rules. 2 years ago our lives were turned upside down when our daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia, I spent 3 months living in the hospital, still having to run my own business to pay the bills. I now want to do the things I enjoy as you never know what's round the corner. I'm quite chilled out with life now, ride on! 😊
