Been watching this but not sure what it is.
From the parts fitted it must around a 1981/82?
Have searched but the only ones similar have a loop tail.
Needs a bit of work but up for a challenge.. fistblump

I asked Paul Myers (Monkian) about this a few days ago. I wondered if it could possibly be a Rhino or just a piece of poo. I did not think looked quite right but what do I know.
Paul replied:
'It's a piece of poo. Most likely a Hawk Scorcher but nothing to do with Tange ;)'
If you look at a Hawk Scorcher I think you have the answer, available from Woolworths I believe.
-
Well whatever it is it went for about £175 posted. ???
-
Obviously the buyer didn't have a clue and thought it was a Tange/tioga frame, gonna be a shock when he does find out and I bet you see it relisted lol
Jaymz is bang on what it is I'd say

That's definitely a Hawk Scorcher... i don't agree that the first one was. ???

Far too many similarities for me to believe they are not one and the same, however, you never know.
I hope it turns out to be a Rhino, I really do. I could not afford it if it was a tenner let alone what it sold for.
Kind of wish I had asked about the frame number now but meh, as I said I could not buy anyway.
Will we ever know?

Top tube is too short for a Rhino and the gusset is similar but definitely not the same.

I don't believe it's a Rhino either... my money's on it being a copy frame like the two in the links i posted. :daumenhoch:
The height of the Scorcher's top tube and bb are much more akin to Burner geometry whereas the first bike posted in this thread is more like a Rhino (real bmx geometry) but obviously it isn't one. ???

I should have followed your links in the first place!
Every day is a school day.
Regardless of what they are they are rather nice I think.
