Trying to find some piccys of Mr Ridge riding one particular bike. It's early 90's mongoose hooligan with Wal riot forks, had a good trawl through google & got lost in the huge amounts of Rob's pics n vids.
I'm hoping that some of you might remember it & have mags/vids etc that can help me out....

Picked up the mongoose along with a few other things Rob chucked in & I'm fookin chuffed to bits. Gonna leave it just as it is for now & plan a sympathetic strip n rebuild after mk....

Usually they come just as we know them, either as Ramps or as STs. But one of my Ramps actually has the CompST label (colours as mentioned) on it.
The print at the sidewalls say the same on both Ramps though. To me there's not even the slightest difference visible. It is the only Competition Ramp I've seen so far which has a CompST-label.
If you need some more infos on this, let me know Rich. I'll give that guy - I got these tires of - a call tomorrow. :daumenhoch:

They do look like ramps, Rob did say he ran some tyres that looked like ramps possibly redline one's, but couldn't quite remember.
Ramps are either nos & a fortune or completely rotted & a fortune
He also ran semi slick prolites & halfords hobbies, again these are proving impossible to find

Not had much bmx mojo of late, the big pile of shite in the garage & a wankey ankle have got me down a bit ...
With Mt hawke Easter jam looming & the possibility of Rob Ridge attending I decided to pull the finger out...
This was never going to be a full blown resto, it's more of a preservation....
Didn't want to disturb too much so everything was cleaned,greased/oiled in situ. The free coaster is a bit graunchy & wheel bit wobbly, with time running out I'll sort that properly sometime
Ended up replacing the shot sticky grips with some ratty toadstools I got from Sen at MK, the front brake blocks & the elusive tyres Rob used thanks to Ed209...
Frames had a good dose of GT85 & a coat of owatrol oil to stop the rust getting any worse & that's it....
