Between December 1982 and April 1983, GT (Gary Turner Bicycles) equipped their Pro version with the following spec, before lowering their standards with low to mid parts. I am/will be building to spec with a few minor alterations, as I will be riding this one on a regular :daumenhoch:

...will it have the 'no.1 cycle sticker'? If not I am disappoint. :chin:
-
"...as I will be riding this one on a regular" I like that part of the story a lot! Awesome frame set :daumenhoch:
-
This should be cool Terry, look forward to it.... :daumenhoch:

Loved these, have been tempted to do a GT Pro myself in memory of Waza, an old friend who passed away a couple of years ago. Looking forward to seeing this one built and if the attention to detail is half as good as some of your builds it's going to be a cracker :daumenhoch:
-
Going to amazing Terry... Your builds are always top notch "wantit"
-
Thanks for the kind and positive vibes Guys, they are always warmly accepted and appreciated.
I'm really getting into this one, although I will be using Profile cranks instead of a one piece, chrome MX1000 and Tech 3 instead of black, and chrome Ukai box rims instead of black 7X, which is somewhat due to prices, I had some parts already, and because it will get ridden fistblump

Great choice Terry, though am sorry to hear that it's going to be your last build! Am therefore expecting this to be better than the normal stuff you churn out! :daumenhoch:
You know I love your builds/bikes really, proven by the number of them I've faved over on the Museum!
-
Very nice Terry .. :4_17_5: Love my GT pro ..
-
It's not through choice buddy, I can tell you. It's a number of factors really....Space, Time, the Girls getting bigger and demanding more of my free time, the endless hours of searching for the right parts, patina wise, the ridiculous prices being commanded for parts that I would have paid pittance for just 6 months ago, and the lack of anything...dare I say it...Interesting.
I picked this GT Pro because I miss my other 2 I had and they ride superbly. I was lucky to get an early 1983 frame and fork and go with the spec on the limited release of it. I listed a few adjustments in my last post on here, but I am looking for lightly used parts, which is actually proving to be a pain in the arse :D
Mick, you are my number one fan on the Museum, and I always look forward to you commenting when I post another bike, even though I am very slow to respond sometimes :buck2:
I will try and get this one just right for you buddy, I promise :daumenhoch:

Cheers mate! :daumenhoch: I'm not stalking you, honest, though I do know where you live! >:D
Seriously, it's a shame this'll be your last build, as we share the same taste in bikes, the difference being that I don't have your build skills or the patience and perseverance to hold out for the right parts! ;D
In any case, I look forward to seeing how this one turns out. :daumenhoch:
