Title: Showing off the Zima
Post by: trav77 on May 26, 2017, 07:46 PM
Got the Zima back from the Chrome shop, looking as good as new, done a real good job!

I've cleaned up the headset, all bits are in good condition apart from the ball bearing races (loose) and the TIOGA locking nut (bit knackered).

Does anyone have for sale a locking nut or some ball bearing races ?

Cheers,,

PS @   skidmark stickers look great!

Bearings don't look half bad, maybe a few pitted balls?
If your after tioga brand replacements I've got some on the bay

Looks like the chromers have done it justice  :daumenhoch:

Bearings are real loose, they polished up okay, but a few ball bearings keep falling out, after the chrome job (not cheap!) thought I may as well splash out a bit on some bearings  :D

Whilst I'm showing it off, here's another pic

What a difference getting it in the right section makes huh?! Looks real good  :daumenhoch: as for the bearings try nipping up the cages a little. If still no good replacements can be got from a half decent bike shop.

WOW

bet you are stoked! that looks the bollocks.

Zimas always had really nice chrome jobs so it looks like you have nailed it there.

I will have a dig for some bits but not sure I have what you need ... stick a wanted thread up :-)
