Is it me or are the prices of old school bikes starting to rocket... :(
I am looking for a one at the moment, either to buy to restore or better still already done.....but for anything decent the prices are going mad. Just seen two Redlines sell on ebay this week for strong money...
Help, your advice is appreciated greatly :-[

Wouldn't worry cos in a few years time we'll all be chucking em out again!!
Prices often go mad on fashionable builds but then seen to stabalise again, if you can't afford nos then you have to look for alternatives or perhaps restore (you can often get back to nos by doing this). Otherwise build something unusual or use pink parts for example which command lower prices.
But yes, as stuff runs out prices rocket!

You do still see some right good deals, some things seem to go for big money & some don't.
I have no idea why, I remember selling a set of second gen Profile box cranks for £320 without the spider, but the same cranks with spider & chainwheel did not meet the reserve of £200 three weeks earlier :crazy2:
