Hi,
Have been thinking about buying a BMX again after having various Burners and a couple Mongoose bikes as a kid, the latter being my prized possession.
I bought a Mongoose Grand Prix yesterday with Orange skyways. It needs some love and I will order the below list over the coming days.
Can anyone recommend a good place to do business with for parts?
Handlebars
Headset
Brakes
Seat clamp
Seat
Seatpost
Pedals
Black skyways
I also have a question. Im sure my second Mongoose as a child was a Californian. How does that differ in terms of frame to the Grand Prix?
Does anyone have a Californian for sale?
Cheers
Lee

Hiya mate...
The Californian is a true American made Mongoose... the Grand Prix is a Mongoose made under licence by Ammaco for the British market. :daumenhoch:

Thanks for the heads up!
He doesn't want to post unfortunately and Preston is over 4 hours from me.
I can be patient, I will build the Grand Prix as a budget project and then buy a Cali when one comes up.

i’m only 30 minutes away from Preston. I would be happy to collect it for you and post it :daumenhoch:

Andy, that is really kind of you.
I have a potential of a frame from someone and at the price of the Preston bike, the frame would be the better option. :daumenhoch:

Well Yes & No :LolLolLolLol:
Its the Ferrari California from Ferris Buellers Day Off. I'm not sure if all or part of the film used a modified MGB GT. So the picture maybe of the replica or real one I do not know! :-\

I didn't know they used an MGB GT for the film.
I was hoping you were going to tell me that it was your car!

I wish it was my car. :smitten:
If you google it there are various sites with information on the MG/Ferrari. :daumenhoch:

True! perspective.
Ive convinced her I may as well build a second bike as she wants a bike for next year, my logic.... what is better darling, me build you a cool 80s BMX for £600 (current Mongoose) or buy you a mountain bike for 1k+.
2 bikes.... for now.
