Title: KHE Premium Lagger
Post by: Chunk4444 on October 09, 2017, 11:58 AM
Hi guys I bought a 1997 Premium Lagger for a restoration project. It’s in the classic green colour but like most frames in the era the paint is cracking revealing what appears to be chrome underneath. I was thinking of having the frame blasted and powedered. But having seen the nice chrome underneath I was thinking about stripping paint. Can anyone tell me the best was to strip the paint keeping the metal/chrome good underneath? Has anyone done this and can they confirm it was chrome underneath?? Any help would be appreciated.

Use synstrip, it will strip the superchrome green coating right off and not touch the chrome plating underneath

Starchem Synstrip... you should be able to get some from a local car spares shop.   :daumenhoch:   Used to be loads of it on ebay but can't find any for some reason. ???
