All these years I've had tech 3 levers and didn't know they had a date.  :LolLolLolLol:

Inside the clasp and if you use a little torch the bodies inside are also dated

Yeah, me too, just noticed all these pink brake cables I've been using as cable ties all have '85 stamped on them.
