i am using a chrome (steel ) layback stem it bolts on tight and does not move but if i put pressure on the seat it creaks anyone else had this?
-
its probablly the plastic in the seat making the noise if its an old seat ... if its not that the guts of the seat probablly arent done up correctlly
-
are you fat?
-
strange my oddy elementary stem creaks like a biatch
and yes im rather large
-
Thats it then . Lose weight and the noise should get less and less until you become normal and then there will be no noise just like everybody elses.
-
get a straight post to mask the "fat creak"
-

every time you sit down you are levering the seat tube / bit where the seat stays+tube join it

Take your seat off and jam the post up your ass......... it works for me
