Anyone done it or ordered as set made?
Thinking of having a bash but torn between a tubular welded set or a more tradition aluminium billet job.
Also welcome your thoughts on spindles, square taper, splined etc

If anyone can....

Never crossed my mind to make cranks, aluminium would be my choice as im rubbish at welding ;D
This could be an interesting thread then :daumenhoch:

A set of Profile 1st gen box cranks would be cool! :daumenhoch:

As Dave Hutchman knows - I love his JAD cranks

Great! Keep. Coming lads. I do like the idea of box cranks or Ali ones that look boxy. Got some hex tubing in work that keeps whispering in my ear

If anyone can....
My thoughts exactly JG.

Right . I've narrowed it down to a few ideas. Welcome you thoughts lads :daumenhoch:
1. Skyway TA stylee aero crank arms in 4130 with welded ends
2. True oval British T45 tubing crank arms with welded ends
3. TT Racing / jam buttie inspired Aluminium crank arms. (These would involve more work by myself)
what do we rec?
-
Looking forward to see what you do with these Clint :4_17_5:

I like all of the options but if you do a TA style areo tubing set, what about having a car fin style back of spindle end like this shitey microsoft word mockup:

If there is the room, you could stamp a logo in to it like the pointy bit at the back of a GT Performer :daumenhoch:

Flippin'ell Clint, is there no end to your talents!! Can't wait to see how these turn out!! :daumenhoch:

If I did go the aero route the pedal and axle spindle holes would be set in rather than welded on the end. Much stronger imo
