Not sure, but it does not have the pro size down tube extending from the bb shell.

I remember looking at that one on the bay, nice bike, nice era-correct parts.
Will look great when finished. Looks cool sitting there in the pic!

Looking forward to seeing your build too Bodamus, is it a '9' now ? I gave up trying to work out the RaceInc numbering :)

Hi Duncan I think it has got to be a Race Inc RA9. I have been searching and searching and this could be the RA9 as the other models seem to be easily identifiable by Top Tube length and Gussets where as this ones still seems to be a mystery. I am going to call it an RA9 until someone proves otherwise ::)

Lol, RA9 it is, I'll keep a look out in old magazine scans for an advert but there doesn't seem to be any featuring that frame. It's a mystery one that's for sure.

RA9 F&F here too, but a build looks to be a long way off - still struggling with another build, my first, which I hope to finish this year if I'm lucky..

No mines not an RA8 it has no Gusset it is the same as a Looptail Ripper but with round tubing instead. It seems to be a smaller Frame like an RA10 but seems to small to be an RA10 it's more like an Expert or Junior size?

It should be finished by next weekend.

Bodamus,

This is a quote from PEP on vbmx

"someone should find out the TT length. If it's a short TT, then it could be the EXTREMELY elusive RA-9, yes that's right RA-9

The RA-10 was the full (pro) sized gussetless Race Inc. The RA-9 was the same with the short TT.

This is a true gem. "

I think they were talking about a tt length of 17 1/2 being this rare RA9.

If it is one they'll love it over the pond :daumenhoch:

Cheers Frosty.

The Top Tube of mine is 17 1/2" so RA9 it is then. Me and Duncan are quids in then.

Thanks from bodamus :daumenhoch:
