Title: Haro tr 2.3 brake probs
Post by: fattaffracingco on May 23, 2018, 09:03 PM
Guys , im building a haro mid skool tr2.3 with non original forks but haro nonetheless
The brake pivot posts on forks are larger than the rears and now my Shimano brakes don't fit
I understand that they are threaded and remove able but the fronts have no spanner flats and are tight as fool
Do Haro weld in their posts ?? Before I break out the blowtorch and ruin me paint
Closer inspection I can't see any sign of weld , but they are stupid tight
I could drill forks and move to old stool caliper but would prefer to stick to v type
Any advice would be great
Cheers chris

in case of a thread search
apparently pivot posts differ in size from 9.5mm for Ubrakes or 8mm for Vbrakes , concerning midskool it varies
steel framed ones not removable but alloy framed are , either m8 or m10 threaded posts
feel free to add anything else
