Anyone know of a decent Aluminium welder in the Essex area?
Just got myself a very cheap PK Looptail, but it has the common crack in the seatpost. It's only hairline, but it bothers me. Just want to get it sorted before I powdercoat it.
Also, one of the rear dropouts is very slightly bent inwards (by about 6mm), what's the best way of pulling it straight?
Any recommendations please? :daumenhoch:

There's a place near my house does car bits & pieces, engines & the like. Sign on the door says they weld aluminium, but they've probably never done work on a bike. I remember asking if they could weld lugs to a CRMO frame, they pointed me to a guy with a MIG setup in a nearby garage. We did chat briefly about aluminium welding, but I can't really remember coming out of there thinking I should scour eBay for cracked Rippers.
I'm in Plaistow, fairly near to Barking. Place is called Durlings.

hi, best way for dropouts is pliers, make sure theres a cloth between the metal and them.
