As above, name me some oldschool BMX with oval downtube?
Walked past my local cash convertor and they have an oldschool BMX for sale .
What caught my eye was that it had yellow OGK mags(good start),the rest of the parts are junk ,apart from maybe the bars which I think are late model burner bars.
The frame is chrome, but the welds are really good quality tig welded which piqued my interest.
The forks are not original I don't think as they have been painted white and have different (bubble gum) welds.
So back to the frame,we have quite a thick round top tube,an oval downtube, and the seat stays come up past the seatpost a bit like a GHP if that makes sense.
The rear dropouts are quite small, almost like late RedLine ones, and it has quite a distinctive brake bridge, similar to late Supergoose with the holes in.
It has Skyway stickers on (it's deffo not a Skyway of any description I don't think),and the shop has it stickered up as an 80s Raleigh Burner(it isn't).
I thought I had seen pretty much every oldschool frame but this has me stumped.
I know pics would be great but my battery was dead.
They want £179 which is overpriced if it's a Johnny no name, but worth picking up if it's something decent.
So fire away chaps ,give me some ideas.....
