Just had these finally built up and ready to start my bike build.
1983 NOS Weinmann rims (shiny sided).
NOS high flange SR hubs.
NOS axle nuts.
NOS spokes.
New whitewall tyres.
The shiny sides need a further light polish after some slight marking during wheel build.
The good bit of assembling all of the parts I've sourced over the last several months begins now! ;)

Lovely wheels , horrible tyres

Thank you🤔
What tyres would you suggest?

If you still want the whitewall look..

That's me in 1983 on the old faithful...........
Had loads of other bmx's as race bikes over the years but, this Akisu always stayed with me as a daily rider.
I realise that these frames hold little respect in the old school bmx world.
However, it means something to me!!
My Dad is 85 now and trying to recreate this bike as a thank you to him!!
Project of passion you could say......... ;)
