I guess someone had to ask so it may as well be me - sorry.
So....
It was obviously a very emotional moment for a lot of us oldies hearing Nick deliver his speech at the end of MK18 and for the first time ever it felt like the old yearly phrase of "this is the last one you know" which had become a bit of a long running joke, was actually now true. It dawned on me more and more on the drive home that this could actually be it. 10 years since my first MK and now no more.... How sad :'(
I guess we all expect things to continue and go on forever, but, I guess nothing lasts for ever. I know the RADmin put sooooo much effort into this awesome event and that effort has had to increase every year as the size of the event has also increased and now the balloon has burst.
But wait..... can't we just start small again. Just a small bunch of lads camping next to a BMX track drinking a few beers and talking crap ? I'd happily chip in to still pay for the security guys...... just to keep all the numpties out :LolLolLolLol:
And St.John's ambulance might be worth hiring again..... even if just for Spen :shocked: :10_2_12: :LolLolLolLol:
So come on RAD massive..... members and admin alike...... I ask you all.........

Cheers for the mention Jonnygoose, my teeth and face still ache on these cold mornings after my stupidity last summer..... The good old days drinking, burning stuff and passing out in a field eh......
For me the event was one of the highlights of year and if it is somewhere else in the future then I hope I get invited as it is such a laugh and often these days the only chance we all get to see each other. Lee and the South coast lads are putting something on which I'd love to combine with a weekend away but MK was so easy to get to its a shame if it doesn't happen.
"Wake up soft lad, Jai's stall is open and he's selling Oakleys" was the war cry wasn't it?

It’s usually been announced and Hotel reservations made by now, so I’m guessing it’s not happening, I may be wrong.
The last couple of years that I’ve attended have been great, no question, but an event in such scale means you sometimes don’t get chance to spend time with some people that you really look forward to seeing, the weekend is just made up of small conversations as opposed to the old days of all being stood together on the helipad talking bollux, which IMHO was better. :radbmxsmilie:

used to love mk radbmx but sadly it always clashes with holidays now as so can never go :(
