Ratty, Bren, Jim et al..
Whats the best place to get Redline sticker sets? I ve heard Redline were making repos again, but not totally accurate on any colour frame but white.
The ones i am after are like the ones you have just added to your new build,Jim. But with Proline II on the main sticker as opposed to Carrera.
Bren, was it yourself that mentioned someone who could reproduce them?
About to get my Proline II powder coated candy red, leaving the forks chrome, so will post some pics of it in its current state shortly.
Think i have already emailed you some Ratty and you ve seen it Bren.....Anymore pics of candy red Redlines would be much appreciated for component ideas..
Cheers
Rich

Rich, no special sticker shop, just off the evilbay, they are on there constantly, but after what Bren said, im gonna hold fire, and i wont :daumenhoch: re sticker my Pl until I see if the new stickers materialize!!!
-
i'm on the same boat. the only ones i've seen on ebay are carerrer(sp) and i'm pretty sure my 1981 proline never had that word on the sticker, it just had "ProLine-11". then again after 25 years things tend to get a bit hazy.

Redline are doing sticker sets, but has Bren informed me, they only work on white frames. They have no white edging.
Whether or not they are going to make some of these I don't know.
You could email Redline and ask. They are very helpful. The more people to contact them may grease the wheels.
You can get all Redline produced sticker sets from bmxstop.com.
Now, back to scouring the net for a pad set! :-[

Yeah, its bmxstop i have tried...the originals are still on the bike, definately have Proline on them GT.
Have we got a contact at Redline we can email? Never know Jim they may come up with some of these elusive pads!!
-
Tricky
I did ask them. But no joy.
The contact there is Gork his email is gork@seattlebikesupply.com
Nice guy.
-
Jim, did you ask their permission to reproduce a set of pads, theres a guy on here who do them, but he wont reproduce current manufacturers :(

yeah, i thought so Tricky. the pics of my bike from '82 are too fuzzy for me to be 100% sure. the set i was watching on the bay had proline and carerrer on them, that's why i wasn't sure whether they are the correct ones.

The Proline ones look perfect Ratty, in terms of the proline II detail.
-
Howeva, the originals on my Proline are different.
The main frame sticker is all one over the top of the tube...if you understand what i mean.

that repo set is the exact ones for the 1981 proline 2..........no carrerer on em :coolsmiley:
i got an answer back from Gork here it is:
Yes – all of our vintage REDLINE decals are available on BMXstop.com, our consumer site. We are a tad limited with our selection right now, but once the ’07 bike premiere is done, I am hoping my Art Dept will have time to create and add many of the REDLINE decal sets that collectors are in need of. It has been some time since we have added any, and we get requests for other editions all the time.
If you have any photos/scans from the bike or ads, that you really need – please send to me and we’ll see what we can come up with.

so it looks like they may be trying to do something :)

That Proline set is a repo, as Tricky said the down tube decal is one sticker that covers the full down tube, it wraps over and has Redline on both sides,
Best thing to do is take a couple of photos of Trickys frame decal, with a tape next to the decal and send them to Gork, fingers crossed, they wil get them correct this time ;)
-
sounds like a good plan Bren. :daumenhoch:
-
I can do that, no probs.
Them stickers are repos, but the best we have seen so far
-
Surely Redline will have records or templates of these decals..you would think
-
Emailed Gork offering to send him some pics, see what he comes back with.
We should be able to get them, may take a while tho
