Title: Fan bolt on steering tube
Post by: Vas on August 16, 2019, 04:41 PM
I got this fan bolt thing that came with my headset and topcap but it will not fit in my forks

Is it a must have or do I not have to have it

Don't wanna hammering there's just not room tho

I'd really appreciate some help

Normally just need to give it a tap in (it should be tight so you can use it to put some compression via the top cap onto your headset).

Just make sure the forks don't already have one in there ;)

Found this online, hope it helps.

Thanks Brian I'm sure the forks didn't have this star nut in them before

But I've just watched this video so I'll tap them in
