SE's greatest asset is it's history and heritage.

Nice to see them bringing out some good stuff again.

Apparently the seat stays and the loop are changing...as is the fat top tube...(according to the bloke on the other site who spoke to the SE man at the show)...

What is so difficult??? How hard can it be to make a frame the same as an old one but with modern geometry
Kappa did it and they are a two man operation

Can I take it from that photo of the Quad frame that Camo pads are going to be re-issued, or they'll come with the frame ?
If they do, it'll almost be worth buying the frame for the padset  ;)

More likely they just popped a vintage pad on there for effect, but who knows.

That can't be the long-rumoured 'retro OM' in the pic. It's nice, but it's not retro, must be the standard 07 model. Looptail please.

still some trickstar2 rear ends left then

Have they done the rear loop like that just so the Canti mounts will be in the right place? Maybe they could go on the chainstays instead.
Where's the trademark floval tube behind the BB? (or maybe original looptail Quads never had one, I'm not sure).

As someone else has mentioned the design will probably change before it hits the shops.

looptails blow
the later (but still 80's) dropouts were better
i know looptails are "retro" etc but they still look cheap as fook. just bend it around and stick a bit on.

i am most likely on my own with this opinion :)

However, I do like the White and Blue OM Flyer  :daumenhoch:

I'd always wondered how they derived the name 'Quadangle'.
On that retro frame (and the original looptails) you can see 4 distinct triangles in the front end made by the frame tubes.

The reason I always wondered is that my later one only had 3 triangles in the front, and I'd never seen a looptail one.
I consoled myself by counting the rear end as a triangle too.

Maybe they should've been SE Triangles, or SE Quintangles. Hmm, doesn't really sound as good. SE Sexangle, now there's an idea..

Edit>> Why is it not Pentangle for 5? Getting rapidly off-topic here..
