evening folks,
anyone on here ever had any problems with their freecoaster "ghost pedalling" forward when coasting with your feet off the pedals?
chains not too tight, cones aren't too tight, cranks are nice n free. dunno what else to check.
any ideas?
thanks in advance,
Bp.

Ruler will know for sure ,pm him :daumenhoch:

Yep, strip it down and grease it up :daumenhoch:
I had the same problem with my oddy freecoaster after only riding it for a few hours, so I stripped it down and put some grease on two alloy surfaces that rub together and it sorted it out :daumenhoch:

Yep, strip it down and grease it up :daumenhoch:
tis the answer
only takes the tiniest bit of friction

will try that. (only just rebuilt it with new springs about a week ago... :()

yep, my oddy freecoaster's working like a charm now. (pity it's 'kin rainin outside...)
just took a wee bit of grease on the axle where the springs sit (i thought these worked better dry, but i think that's what caused the ghost pedalling...)
thanks again guys,
Bp.

potentially embarrasing lack of knowledge here, but does a freecoaster allow you to do a rollback without having to backpedal? :-[
-
Yes it does, it`s like a coaster brake but without the brake :daumenhoch:
